Based in Saint Thomas, VI, our family-owned and operated company has partnered with restaurants, resorts, hotels, and many others to ensure safe, environmentally responsible collection and disposal of waste oil products generated in foodservice and related operations. At Island Grease & Oil, we strive to ensure that your used grease and oil bi-products are correctly and responsibly collected, treated, and disposed of; keeping your operation safe, healthy, and clean. We’re dedicated to working with you to keep your waste products contained and out of our soils and ocean waters, and heading someplace where their many benefits outweigh their hazards.
As the only permitted local oil and trap waste hauler carrying certification from the United States Virgin Islands Waste Management Authority (VIWMA), you can rest assured that our handling of your waste products is managed responsibly at every phase of collection and processing.
Waste Vegetable Oil (WVO) is given its second life through refinement to 200 microns, removing any water and particulate; preparing it for repurposing as eco-friendly bio-diesel.
Grease Trap Waste (GTW) is collected and refined, removing all solids before shipping to the United States mainland for further processing into both yellow grease and glycerin, both of which have hundreds of uses.

OUR SERVICES
GREASE TRAP SERVICE (GTS)
Island Grease & Oil provides comprehensive service for all manner of in-line grease traps.
Each monthly service entails the opening, collection, removal, cleaning, and inspection of trap functionality. Evidence of service is provided following each GTS service performed.
GREASE TRAP WASTE REMOVAL (GTW)
Island Grease & Oil provides grease containment and collection for clients who prefer to perform their own trap maintenance and upkeep.
Each monthly service will include collection and proper refinement of clients’ collected GTW, with more frequent service available as needed.
LIFT STATION SERVICE (LSS)
Island Grease & Oil provides comprehensive service for large-format lift stations, typically used on commercial properties.
LSS typically takes place on a monthly basis and includes pump testing and verification, collected grease removal, station cleaning, and thorough inspection of all components.
WASTE VEGETABLE OIL COLLECTION (WVO)
Island Grease & Oil provides complimentary collection containers for your fryer and cooking oil collection. These are fitted with filtration screens to prevent contamination.
WVO is typically collected from your site monthly, with more frequent service scheduled as needed.
